  • The interval notation form of a solution set is [ - 1, 4 ].
  • That means, the solution set consist of all values between - 1 and 4.
  • And also consists of the end points(- 1 and 4) of the test interval [- 1, 4 ].
  • The compound inequality form  of the solution set is - 1 ≤ x ≤ 4, where x be a real number,

Observe the graph, the closed circle means that the points (- 1 and 4) are included in the solution set.
