Given polynomial is 3x^3-7x^2+9x-14

Divisor x-2

x-2 = 0

Add 2 to each side.

x-2+2 = 0+2

x = 2

By synthetic division

(3x^3-7x^2+9x-14)/(x-2) = 3x^2-x+7
