Base of the prism is 18 inches square, means, base of the prism is a square., and the side of the square is 18 inches.

Side of the square (a) = 18 inches.

Area of the base(A) = a x a.

                               = 18 x 18

                               = 342 inches^2.

Area of the base (A) = 342 inches^2.

Height (h) = 24 inches.

Volume of the right prism (V) = area of the base x height = A x h.

Substitute the values of A = 342 and h = 24.

V = 324 x 24

V =  7776 cubic inches.

V = 19751.04 cm^3 (1 inch = 2.54 cm).
