Given fractions are 1/12,1/18,1/21 and 1/27.

List the multiples of denominators.

Multiples of 12 are 12,24,...756,...

Multiples of 18 are 18,36,...756,...

Multiples of 21 are 21,42,...756,...

Multiples of 27 are 27,54,...756,..

Lowest common denominator is 756.

Write the prime factorization of each denominator.

12 = 2*2*3 = 22*31

18 = 2*3*3= 21*32

21 = 3*7= 31*71

27 = 3*3*3= 33

 

Multiply highest power of each factor in the either number.

L.C.D =22*33*71    

           = 756
