y = 2x^2-13x-7

y = 2x^2-14x+x-7

y = 2x(x-7)+1(x-7)

y = (x-7)(2x+1)

For y = 0

(x-7)(2x+1) = 0

x-7 = 0 and 2x+1 = 0

x = 7 and x = -1/2

x = 7 and x = -0.5

For x = 0

y = (0-7)(2(0)+1)

y = -7

Roots are x = 7,-0.5 and y = -7.
