What is the axis of symmetry for a parabola by this equation? y = 2x^2 - 3x + 8?

The parabola equation is y2x ^2 - 3x  + 8

The above equation represents standard form of parabola y  = ax ^2 + bx + c.

Compare the above equation with y  = ax ^2 + bx + c.

= 2, b  = - 3, and c  = 8.

Axis of symmetry x = - b / 2a

x = - (- 3)/2(2)

x = 3/4.

Axis of symmetry of the parabola is x = 3/4.
