Step 1:

Find the thevenin's equivalent voltage.

1.Open the load resistor.

2.Calculate the Open Circuit Voltage. This is the Thevenin Voltage (V_TH).

Redraw the circuit :

 

Use source transfermation to convert the current source to a voltage source.

Apply KVL to the loop.

Step 2:

Find Thevenin Voltage (V_TH).

Thevenin Voltage V_TH  = V_R1 + E .

V_TH  = -4(-4.1) + 7

V_TH  = 16.4 + 7.

V_TH  = 23.4.

Therefore Thevenin Voltage V_TH  = 23.4 V.

Thevenin Voltage is V_TH  = 23.4 V.
