Part a :-

Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + bm is slope and b is y - intercept

substitute m = -2 and b = -6 in formula

y = -2x -6

Part b :-

Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + bm is slope and b is y - intercept.

Step1. First find the slope of the line using slope formula.

m = -2/3

Step2. Next find the y-intercept.

b (y - intercept) value can be found by replacing the x and y coordinate values in the equation with the given points. repalce m = -2/3 and (x, y) with (6, -2)

-2 = -2/3 * 6+ b

-2 = -4 + b

add 4 to each side

b = 2

Step3. Write the final line equation.

repalce m =-2/3 and b = 2 in Slope-intercept form line equation y = mx + b

y = -2/3x + 2
