Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Given b = 5inches

P = 44inches

Then 44 = 2(l+5)

44 = 2l+10

44-10 = 2l

34 = 2l

Divide by 2 to each side.

34/2 = 2l/2

17 = l

length of given rectangle = 17inches.
