Given - 4(x + 5) > 7x + 20.

Apply distributive property : a(b + c) = ab + ac.

- 4x - 20 > 7x + 20

Separate constants and variables.

- 40 > 11x

11x < - 40

Divide each side by 11.

x < - 40/11.

The inequality is - 4(x + 5) > 7x + 20.

Apply distributive property : a(b + c) = ab + ac.

- 4x - 20 > 7x + 20

Add 4x to each side.

- 4x - 20 + 4x > 7x + 20 + 4x

Combine like terms.

- 20 > 11x + 20

Subtract 20 from each side.

- 20 - 20 > 11x + 20 - 20

- 40 > 11x.

Divide each side by 11.

x < - 40/11.

The solution of inequality is {x/x< - 40/11}.
