Given rectangle length (l ) = 3 3/8 "

Convert the mixed fraction in  to improper fraction.

l  = 3 3/8 = (24+3)/8 = 27/8

Given rectangle width  (w ) = 1 3/16 "

Convert the mixed fraction in to improper fraction.

= 1 3/6 = (16+3)/16 = 9/16  "

Perimeter of rectangle P = 2(l + w )

Substitute the l  , w  values in above formula.

P  = 2(27/8 + 19/16)

Least common multiple of 8 and 16 = 16.

P  = 2 (54 + 19)/16

= 2(73) /16

P  = 73/8

P  = 9.125 "

Perimeter of rectangle = 9.125 inches.
