Solve for x:
1<4x-7<13

1 < 4x - 7 or 4x - 7 < 13.

Now take 1 < 4x - 7

Add 7 to each side.

8 < 4x.

Divide each side by 4.

2 < x

And  4x - 7 < 13.

Add 7 to each side.

4x < 20

Divide each side by 4.

x < 5.

Therefore 2 < x < 5.

Graph the solution set on a number line.
