1) Length of rectangle = x ft

Width of a rectangle = x/4 ft

Perimeter p = 2(l + w) = 130 ft

2(x + x/4) = 130

2x + x/2 = 130

4x + x = 260

5x = 260

x = 260/5 = 52

Width of a rectangle = 52/4 = 13 ft .

Option 2 is correct answer.

2) Length of a rectangle = x ft

Width of the rectangle = (5x - 584) ft

Perimeter p = 2(l + w) = 512 ft

2(x + 5x - 584 ) = 512

2x + 10x - 1168 = 512

12x   = 1680

x = 1680/12

x = 140

Length of a rectangle = 140 ft.

Option 1 is correct answer.

3) Length of a rectangle = x ft

Width of a rectangle = x/5 ft

Perimeter of the rectangle  2(l +w)= 30 ft

2(x+ x/5 )= 30

x + x/5 = 15

5x + x = 75

6x = 75

x = 75/6 = 12.5

Width of a rectangle = x/5 ft = 12.5/5 = 2.5 ft.

Option 1 is correct answer.

4) Width of a rectangle = x ft

Length of a rectangle = x +19 ft

perimeter of the rectangle = 342 ft

2(x + x+ 19) = 342

4x + 38 = 342

4x = 304

x = 76

Length of a rectangle = x +19 ft = 76 +19 = 95ft

Option 2 is correct answer.
