The given table:

    x      y
-2 16
1 4
2 0
4 -8
7 -20

From the table select any two points.

(1,4) and (2,0)

Find the slope:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (0-4)/(2-1) =-4

Find equation of the line:

y-y1 =m(x-x1)

y - 0 = -4 (x-2)

y = -4x + 8

4x + y = 8

Divide each side by 8

(4x/8) +(y/8) = 8/8

(x/2) +(y/8) =1

The equation is in the form of x/a + y/b =1

a, b are x, y intercepts respectively.

b = 8

So y intercept is 8

So option A is correct.
