The quadratic function is y = 2x2 - 5x - 1.

To find the zeros of the quadratic function, substitute y = 0 in the above equation.

2x2 - 5x - 1 = 0.

Compare the equation 2x2 - 5x - 1 = 0 with general form of quadratic equation ax2 + bx + c = 0.

a = 2, b = - 5 and c = - 1.

Substitute a = 2, b = - 5 and c = - 1 in the quadratic formula : x = [- b ± √(b2 - 4ac)]/2a.

x = [- (- 5) ± √{ (- 5)2 - 4(2)(- 1) } ] / 2(2)

x = [ 5 ± √(25 + 8) ] / 4

x = (5 ± √33) / 4.

The option B is correct.
