Step 1:

The inequality is image
Write related equation is image and it is represent parabola curve.

The graph of the inequality image is the shaded region, so every point in the shaded region satisfies the inequality.

The graph of the equation image is the boundary of the region. Since the inequality symbol is >, the boundary is drawn as a dotted curve to show that points on the curve does not satisfy the inequality and the shaded region of the graph of image is the soutions to the inequaity.

Step 2:

Graph the boundary of curve make the table of values to find ordered pairs that satisfy the equation.

Choose random values for image and find the corresponding values for image.

Step 3:

To graph the inequality image follow the steps.

1. Draw a coordinate plane.

2. Plot the points found in table and draw a smooth curve through these points.

3. To determine Shaded region (out side or in side), use a test point inside the parabola.

A simple choice is image.

Substitute the value of image in the original inequality.

4. Since the above statement is true, shade the region inside the parabola.
