solve for y. 3x +2y =-1 please explain why the answer is y= -3/2x + 1/2 and not y= -3/2x -1/2

The equation

3x + 2y = - 1

Subtract "3x" on both sides

2y   =   -1 - 3x

Divide the equation with "2" on both sides

y   =   -(1/2)  - (3/2)x

y   =   - (3/2)x - (1/2)
