Given y = -8x^3/x^4 -6

y = -8/x -6

General form of hyperbolic function is y = a/x+q

a = -8, q =-6 < 0

To find y intercept substitute x = 0 in above equation.

Function is not defined.there is no y intercept.

To find x intercept substitute y = 0 in above equation.

0 = -8/x -6

Add 8/x to each side.

8/x = -6

Divide to each side by 8.

1/x = -6/8

1/x = -3/4

x = -4/3

Symmetry is none.
