The system of equations

4x + 3y   =   14 ----------------------->  (1)

9x - 2y   =   14 ----------------------------->  (2)

Eq (1) X 2 ========>    8x + 6y   =   28

Eq (2) X 3  =======>   27x - 6y   =  42

Addition                         (+)    (+)     (+)

                                       -------------------------------------

                                           35x   =   70

                                               x   =   70/35

                                               x   =   2

Subdstitute x  =  2 in Equation (1)

4(2) + 3y   =   14

8 + 3y   =   14

3y   =   14 - 8

3y   =   6

y   =   6/3

y   =   2

The solution is x  = 2  and  y  =  2
