If x/y+1=2/3 and y/z=1/2,

what is the value of 3x-z?

x/y+1=2/3

x/y=2/3-1

x/y=-1/3

3x=-y----------------------(1)

y/z=1/2

2y=z--------------------(2)

From (1)&(2)

3x-z=-y-2y               

      =-3y
