Solve the sysem using substitution? 4y + 19 = x, 3y - x = -13

Given equations is: 4y + 19 = x, 3y - x = -13

x = 4y + 19

x value substitute this equation is 3y - x = -13

3y - (4y + 19) = -13

3y -4y -19 = -13

-y -19 = -13

Add 13 to each side

-y -19 +13=-13+13

-y - 6 = 0

Add y each side

y - y - 6 = y

y = -6

x = 4y + 19

Substitute y = -6 in equation x = 4y + 19

x = 4(-6) + 19

    = -24 + 19

    = -5

There fore x = -5, y = -6
