Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + bm is slope and b is y - intercept.

Step1. First find the slope of the line using slope formula.

m = -2

Step2. Next find the y-intercept.

b (y - intercept) value can be found by replacing the x and y coordinate values in the equation with the given points. repalce m = -2/3 and (x, y) with (6, -2)

4 = -2 × (-1)+ b

4 = 2+ b

Subtract 2 to each side

b = 2

Step3. Write the final line equation.

repalce m =-2 and b = 2 in Slope-intercept form line equation y = mx + b

y = -2x + 2

Find y - intercept(b) by substituting the given point say (x, y) = (- 1, 4) and slope(m) = -2.
