15x2 – 52x + 21 = 0

The equation is

(15x (x) - 15x (3)) - (7 (x) - 7 (3))

Take out common terms

15x (x - 3) - 7 (x - 3) =   0

Take out common (x - 3)

(15x - 7) (x - 3) = 0

15x - 7 = 0     or     x - 3 = 0

15x = 7          or     x = 3

x = 7/15         or    x = 3

Therefore the values of x are ( 7/15 ,3).
