log x^3 - log2 = log( 2x^2)?

logx3-log2=log2x2

Add log2 to each side

logx3-log2+log2=log2x2 +log2

logx3=log2x2 +log2

Subtract log2x2 from each side.

logx3-log2x2=log2x2 +log2-log2x2

logx3-log2x2=log2

3logx-log2x2=log2                                                     logAM=MlogA

3logx-(log2+logx2)=log2                                         log(AB)=logA+logB

3logx-log2-logx2=log2

3logx-log2-2logx=log2                                            logAM=MlogA

       Add log2 to each side

3logx-log2-2logx+log2=log2+log2

3logx-2logx=2log2

logx=log22                                                                MlogA=logAM

logx=log4

Cacel 'log' terms.

x=2

there fore x=2

Cancel 'log' terms.

x = 4.

The solution is x = 4.
