Slope of the given line say m1 =- 4

The perpendicular line slope say m2.

So m1*m2 = -1

-4*m2 = -1

m2 = 1/4

Equation to the required line y-2 =1/4 (x-2)

Cross multiplcation

4(y-2) =1(x-2)

4y-8 = x-2

Bring all the terms to one side.

-x+4y-8+2 = 0

-x+4y-6= 0

Multiple with negitive sign to each side.

x-4y+6 = 0

Equation to the line which is passes through (2,2) and perpendicular to y = -4x+10 is x-4y+6 = 0
