r = 3n+3u

Apply subtraction property, subtract 3u from each side.

r-3u = 3n+3u -3u

r-3u = 3n

Apply division property,divide by 3 to each side.

(r-3u)/3 = 3n/3

⇒ n = (r-3u)/3
