would radical 7 over 14 be rational or irrational and why?

Given sqrt(7/14)

= sqrt(1/2)

= 1/sqrt(2)

It is irrational because sqrt(2) is irrational number.

2 has exponent of 1,so 2 could not have been made by squaring rational number, either sqrt(2) is irrational.
