Eliminaion method

3x-4y = -11----------> (1)

6x+2y = 28

Muliple to each side of above equation by 2.

12x+4y = 56 ---------> (2)

To eliminae the y value add the equaions (1) and (2).

3x-4y = -11

12x+4y = 56

__________

15x = 45

Divide to each side by 15.

15x/15 = 45/15

x = 3

Substitute the x value in (1).

3*3-4y = -11

9-4y = -11

Subtract 9 from each side.

9-9-4y = -11-9

-4y = -20

Divide to each side by negitive 4.

-4y/-4 = -20/-4

y = 5

Solution x =3, y = 5.
