How to get the area of a triangle when the base is 11cm  and has an area of 77cm^2.

Area of triangle = 1/2*b*h

b = 11cm and A = 77cm^2

77 = 1/2*11*h

Multiple to each side by 2/11.

77*2/11 = 11/2*2/11*h

14 = h

Height of the given triangle is 14cm.
