The slope of a line (m ) = - 2 and the point is (- 4, 6).

Slope - intercept - form of a line equation is y = mx + c, where, m is slope and c is y - intercept.

Substitute the values of m = - 2 and (x, y ) = (- 4, 6) in slope - intercept - form of a line equation : y = mx + c.

6 = (- 2)(- 4) + c

6 = 8 + c

c = 6 - 8 = - 2.

Substitute the values of m = - 2 and c = - 2 in slope - intercept - form of a line equation : y = mx + c.

y = (- 2)x + (- 2).

Therefore, slope - intercept - form of a line equation through the given points is y = - 2x - 2.
