The diameter (d ) of the cylinder pot is 12 inches and its length (h ) is 8 inches.

The formula for the volume of the cylinder : V = πr2h, where r = radius of the cylinder and h = height of the cylinder.

Substitute the values of r = d/2 = 12/2 = 6 inches, π = 3.14 and h = 8 inches in the above fomula.

V = 3.14 * 62 * 8 inches3.

V = 904.32 inches3.

Here the find out the liquid volume of cylinder, so the measurement of volume can be expressed in the liters.

1 L = 1000 cm3, so the first convert the inches into the centimeters.

1 inch = 2.54 cm -----> (1 inch)3 = (2.54 cm)3 -------> 1 inch3 = 16.387 cm3.

Volume in cm3 = 904.32 inches3 = 904.32 * 16.387 cm3 = 14819.15 cm3.

Second, convert the cm into the liters.

1 L = 1000 cm3 ------> 1 cm3 = 1/1000 L .

Volume in L = 14819.15 cm3 = 14819.15 (1/1000 L) = 14.82 L.

The volume of liquid is 14.82 L.

14.82 liters water fill in the pot.
