Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + bm is slope and b is y - intercept.

Step1. First find the slope of the line using slope formula.

m = 1/2

Step2. Next find the y-intercept.

b (y - intercept) value can be found by replacing the x and y coordinate values in the equation with the given points. repalce m = -2/3 and (x, y) with (6, -2)

4 = 1/2 × (-1)+ b

4 = 1/2+ b

Subtract 1/2 to each side

b = 4 - 1/2

b = 7/2                         (Simplify)

Step3. Write the final line equation.

repalce m =1/2 and b = 7/2 in Slope-intercept form line equation y = mx + b

y = 1/2x + 7/2.

b (y - intercept) value can be found by replacing the x and y coordinate values in the equation with the given points. repalce m = 1/2 and (x, y) with (- 1, 4).

4 = (1/2 × -1)+ b

4 = - 1/2 + b

b = 4 + 1/2

b = (8 + 1)/2

b = 9/2.

The line equation is y = (1/2)x + 9/2.
