The inequality is - 2(3x + 2) < 18.

Apply distributive property : - a(b + c) = - ab - ac.

- 6x - 4 < 18

Add 4 to each side.

- 6x - 4 + 4 < 18 + 4

Group like terms.

- 6x < 22

Divide each side by negative 6 flip the symbol.

- 6x/- 6 > 22/-6

cancel common terms.

x > - 11/3.

The solution set of the inequality is {x / x > - 11/3}.
