The inequality is 7 - (3x + 2) - 6x > 4.

Multiply 1 to each side.

(1)7 - 1(3x + 2) - (1)6x > 4(1)

Apply adistributive property : a(b + c) = ab + ac.

7 - 3x - 2 - 6x > 4

Group like terms.

- 9x + 5 > 4

Subtract 5 from each side.

- 9x + 5 - 5 > 4 - 5

- 9x > - 1

Divide each side by negative 9, flip the symbol.

- 9x/- 9 < - 1/- 9

cancel common terms.

x < 1/9.

The solution set of the inequality is {x / x <1/9}.
