A) The expression is 4(-3x - 2).

Apply Distribuive Property of Multiplication over Addition: a (b + c) = a b + a c.

= 4(-3x) + 4(-2)

= -12x + (-8)

Product of two different signs is negative.

= -12x - 8

The solution is -12x - 8.

B) The expression is -6(2y - 4x).

Apply Distribuive Property of Multiplication over Subtraction: a (b - c) = a b - a c.

= -6(2y) - (-6)(4x)

= -12y - (-24x)

Product of two same signs is positive.

= -12y + 24x

The solution is -12y + 24x.

C) The expression is -5(  -x - 1).

Apply Distribuive Property of Multiplication over Subtraction: a (b - c) = a b - a c.

= -5(-x) - (-5)(1)

= 5x - (-5)

Product of two same signs is positive.

= 5x + 5

The solution is 5x + 5.
