  • An y-intercept is a point on the graph where it crosses the y-axis.

Substitute x = 0 in the equation. 3(0) - 4y = -12

y = 12/4 = 3

  • A x-intercept is a point on the graph where it crosses the x-axis.

Substitute y = 0 in the equation. 3x - 4(0) = 12

x = 4

X - intercept = 4

y - intercept = 3
