x=(4/9)y-1      --------(1)
18x-7y=-15  --------(2)

Substitute equation (1) in equation (2)

18x-7y=-15

18(4y/9-1) -7y = -15

8y -18 -7y = -15

y = 3

Now we have to solve for x substitute value of y in equation (1)

x=(4/9)y-1

x =(4/9)3 -1

x = 4/3 -1

x = 1/3

The solutions for equations are x = 1/3  and y =3
