If I had 60,000 and used 80% of it how much would I have left.

you had money m = 60,000

Used money = 80% of m

Left money = (100% - 80%) of m

Left money = 20% of m

Left money = 20% of 60;000

Left money = [(60000 * 20) / 100]

Left money = [(600 * 20]

Left money = 12000

Twelve thousand (12000) would you have left.

use formula n = p m. n is part, p is percent and m is whole.

n = (80/100) * 60000

n = 48000

the left over money = 60000 - 48000 = 12000
