The Probabilty of Dick choosing ice cream P(A) is 0.8

The Probabilty of Jane choosing Vanilla P(B) is 0.6

The Probabilty of Jane not choosing Vanilla image = 1 - P(B) ⇒ 1 - 0.6 ⇒ 0.4

The two events(Dick choosing ice cream and Jane not choosing Vanilla) are independent events then image

The Probabilty of Dick choosing ice cream and Jane not choosing Vanilla is

image

Therefore the Probabilty of Dick choosing ice cream and Jane not choosing Vanilla is 0.32.
