The passes through the point (-2 , 3)

The line parallel to the line that passes through (3, 7) and (-2, -8)

The equation of slope intercept form : y = mx + c

(3,7) passes through the point  then 7 = 3m + c ---------(1)

(-2,-8) passes through the point then -8 = -2m + c-------(2)

Subtract (2) from (1)

15 = 5m + 0

m = 15 / 5 = 3

The line that passes through the point (-2,3)

This line is parallel to the above line y = mx + c then

The two lines slopes are equal.

The slope of the line that passes through the points (-2,3) : m = 3.
