I'm trying to find the slope-intercept equation of f?

0 votes
The graph of f passes through (-6,4) & is perpendicular to the line that has an x-intercept of (1,0) & a y-intercept of (0,-3)

Please help me solve this problem! I'm horrible at math and I keep working it but it says i'm incorrect

Given that X - intercept  is (1,0)

Y - intercept  is (0,-3)

Slope intercept  formula  m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 -x1)

m = (-3-0)/(0-1)

Therefore slope m = 3

Any  perpendicular line slope is = - 1/3

The slope passes through ( -6, 4) is perpendicular  to the line equation

( y - y1) = m ( x - x1)

( y - 4) = -1/3 (x - (-6))

3 ( y - 4) = -1(x+6)

3y - 12 =  -x - 6

3y = -x -6 +12

3y = - x +6

y = ( -x +6)/3

Graph of the equation
