The equation 6x - 3y = 18.

Write the above equation in slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

Subtract 6x from each side.

6x - 3y - 6x = 18 - 6x

- 3y = - 6x + 18

Divide each side by negative 3.

(-3y)/(-3) = (-6x)/(-3) + (18)/(-3)

y = 2x - 6

Compare the above equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

Slope : m = 2 and y-intercept : b = - 6.
