Slope intercept form y = mx + c

Where "c" is the y - intercept

Substitute (x, y) = (7, -9) and slope m = -5 in above equation

- 9   =   (-5)(7) + c

-9   =   -35 + c

- 9 + 35   =   c

26   =   c

Hence, The y - intercept is 26.
