2x + 11y  =  9 -------------> (1)

4x - 8y  =  0  --------------> (2)

Rewrite the equation (2)

4x  =  8y

x  =  (8y) / 4

x  =  2y-------------->(3)

Substitute x = 2y in equation (1)

2(2y) + 11y  =  9

4y + 11y  =  9

15y  =  9

y  =  9/15

y  =  3/5

Substitute y = 3/5 in  equation (3)

x  =  2(3/5)

x  =  6/5

Answer :

Solution x  =  6/5 and y = 3/5.
