The Equation is 3x^2 - 5x + 2  =  0 -----> (1)

Compare Eq (1) with Standard Form ax^2 + bx + c  =  0

a = 3, b = -5 and c = 2

Sum of the roots = - b/a

                     =  -(-5)/3

                     =  5/3.

Answer :

Sum of the roots is 5/3.
