Given equations are 3x+2y = 4 ____________  (1)

-2x+2y = 24 ____________  (2)

(1) - (2)⇒ 3x+2y = 4

             -2x+2y = 24

             (+)  (-)   (-)

           ____________

             5x    = -20

Apply division property,divide by 5 to each side.

          5x/5 = -20/5

               x = -4

Substitute x value in (1)

3(-4)+2y = 4

-12+2y = 4

Apply addition property, add12 to each side.

-12+12+2y = 4+12

2y = 16

Apply division property,divide by2 to each side.

2y/2 = 16/2

y = 8

(x,y) = (-4, 8)

Solution of given equations is (-4, 8).
