Given linear equation x-y-10 = 0

Add 10 to each side.

x-y-10+10 = 0+10

Subtract x from each side.

x-y-x = -x+10

multiple to each side by negitive one.

y = x-10

Graph of above equation

The equation is x - y - 10 = 0.

Write the equations in slope - intercept - form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y - intercept.

x - y = 10

y = x - 10.

Compare the equation with slope - intercept - form y = mx + b.

slope = 1 and y - intercept is - 10.

y - intercept is - 10, so the line crosses the y - axis at (0, - 10).

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = 1/1.

Start at point (0, - 10), move 1 unit up and 1 unit right, then plot the point (1, - 9).
