84 = 2*6x

84 = 12x

Divide to each side by 12.

84/12 = 12x/12

7 = x

width of rectangle = 7yards

legnth of rectangle = 5*7 = 35 yards

Area = l*b

= 35*7

Area of rectangle = 245 Squre yards.
