Gven points are (2,10),(4,20),(6,30)

Line equation is y = mx

average rate of change is m = y/x

For the given points 10/2 = 5, 20/4 = 5, 30/6 = 5

m = y/x = 5/1

Substitute m value in y =mx

y = 5x

So the line equation is y = 5x

Now graph the equation.

Draw a coordinate plane.

Plot the above points.

Connecet the plotted points.

Now the formed line indicating above function.

observe the graph,

m = rise /run = change in y/change in x

From the graph average rate of change = 5
