Given equation 9y^2-2y+3 = 4y+2

Subtract 4y from each side.

9y^2-2y+3-4y = 4y-4y+2

9y^2-6y+3 = 2

Subtract 2 from eacvh side.

9y^2-6y+3-2 = 2-2

9y^2-6y+1 = 0

Compare it quadratic equation ax^2+bx+c = 0

a = 9, b = -6, c = 1.

Roots are y = [-b±√(b^2-4ac)]/2a

y = [6±√(36-36)]/18

y = 6/18

y = 1/3

Solution y = 1/3.
